Śatarudrīya-prabhāva and Rudra’s Supremacy (शतरुद्रीयप्रभावः)

apradhṛṣyataraṃ caiva mahoragasamākulam | bhagavān bhūtanāthakaḥ sa vah bhayānaka-sthānaḥ baḍī śobhā pā rahā thā | sa atyanta durdharṣa aur baṛe-baṛe sarpoṃ se bharā huā thā |

Educational Q&A

The verse underscores reverence and caution before formidable, fearsome realms: ethical conduct includes recognizing limits, approaching dangerous or sacred spaces with restraint, and not acting rashly where consequences are severe.

Nārada describes a dreadful, unassailable location—radiant yet terrifying—swarming with great serpents, setting the scene and heightening the sense of peril surrounding the place being spoken of.
