Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
तप: सुमहदास्थाय तोषयेशानमीश्वरम् । इह देव: सपत्नीक: समाक्रीडत्यधोक्षज,अधोक्षज! आप महान् तपका आश्रय लेकर यहाँ सर्वेश्वर भगवान् शिवको संतुष्ट कीजिये। यहाँ महादेवजी अपनी पत्नी भगवती उमाके साथ क्रीड़ा करते हैं
tapaḥ sumahad āsthāya toṣayeśānam īśvaram | iha devaḥ sapatnīkaḥ samākrīḍaty adhokṣaja ||
“اے اَدھوکشج! عظیم تپسیا کا سہارا لے کر سرورِ عالم ایشان کو راضی کرو۔ یہاں دیو مہادیو اپنی پتنی (اُما) کے ساتھ کِریڑا کرتے ہیں۔”
