Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
करोति वा स रूपाणि धारयत्यपि पर्वतम् । गोरूपं च महादेवो हस्त्यश्वोष्टखराकृति:
karoti vā sa rūpāṇi dhārayaty api parvatam | go-rūpaṃ ca mahādevo hasty-aśvoṣṭa-kharākṛtiḥ ||
واسودیو نے کہا—وہ بہت سے روپ اختیار کرتے ہیں؛ حتیٰ کہ پہاڑ بھی اٹھا لیتے ہیں۔ مہادیو گائے کی صورت میں بھی ظاہر ہوتے ہیں اور ہاتھی، گھوڑے، اونٹ اور گدھے کی ہیئت میں بھی۔
