धनैश्वर्याधिका: स्तब्धास्त्वद्गुणै: परमावरा: । अवजानन्ति नून॑ त्वां तेनासि हरिण: कृश:
dhanaiśvaryādhikāḥ stabdhās tvad-guṇaiḥ paramāvarāḥ | avajānanti nūnaṁ tvāṁ tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ ||
برہمن نے کہا—“جو لوگ اوصاف میں تم سے بہت کمتر ہیں، وہ بھی مال و دولت اور دنیوی اقتدار میں بڑھ کر ہونے کے غرور سے یقیناً تمہیں حقیر جانتے ہیں؛ اسی مسلسل تحقیر کے سبب تم ہرن کی طرح کمزور اور پاندُر (پھیکے) ہوتے جا رہے ہو۔”
