Sāma (Sāntva) and Dāna: The Brāhmaṇa’s Conciliatory Release from a Rākṣasa

यदेव ददत: पुण्यं तदेव प्रतिगृह्नतः । न होकचक्रं वर्तेत इत्येवमृषयों विदु:

yad eva dadataḥ puṇyaṃ tad eva pratigṛhṇataḥ | na hokacakraṃ varteta ity evam ṛṣayo viduḥ ||

جو پُنّیہ دینے والے کو حاصل ہوتا ہے، وہی پُنّیہ درست طریقے سے قبول کرنے والے کو بھی برابر ملتا ہے۔ رشی جانتے ہیں کہ اسی سے دنیا کا چکر چلتا ہے؛ ورنہ یہ چکر چل ہی نہ سکے۔
