भीष्म उवाच
This verse is a colophon rather than a doctrinal statement: it signals that the instructional dialogue on dāna-dharma (the ethics of giving) between a Kṣatriya and a Cāṇḍāla has concluded, framing the preceding discussion as authoritative guidance within Bhīṣma’s teachings.
Bhīṣma’s discourse reaches the end of a chapter. The text formally closes Adhyāya 101 of the dāna-dharma section, identifying the completed unit as the “Rājanya–Cāṇḍāla dialogue.”
