Āloka-dāna (Dīpa-dāna), Sumanas–Dhūpa–Dīpa Phala: Manu–Suvarṇa and Śukra–Bali Exempla
यं यमुद्दिश्य दीयेरन् देव॑ सुमनस: प्रभो । मंगलार्थ स तेनास्य प्रीतो भवति दैत्यप,प्रभो! दैत्ययाज! जिस-जिस देवताके उद्देश्यसे फ़ूल दिये जाते हैं, वह उस पुष्पदानसे दातापर बहुत प्रसन्न होता और उसके मंगलके लिये सचेष्ट रहता है
yaṁ yam uddiśya dīyeran deva-sumanasaḥ prabho | maṅgalārthaḥ sa tenāsya prīto bhavati daityapa ||
اے پروردگار! جس جس دیوتا کے نام پر پھول پیش کیے جاتے ہیں، وہ دیوتا اس پُشپ دان سے دینے والے پر نہایت خوش ہوتا ہے اور اس کی بھلائی و مَنگل کے لیے ہمیشہ کوشاں رہتا ہے۔
