Āloka-dāna (Dīpa-dāna), Sumanas–Dhūpa–Dīpa Phala: Manu–Suvarṇa and Śukra–Bali Exempla
देवताभ्य: सुमनसो यो ददाति नर: शुचि: । तस्य तुष्यन्ति वै देवास्तुष्टा: पुष्टिं ददत्यपि,जो मनुष्य पवित्र होकर देवताओंको फूल चढ़ाता है, उसके ऊपर सब देवता संतुष्ट होते और उसके लिये पुष्टि प्रदान करते हैं
devatābhyaḥ sumanaso yo dadāti naraḥ śuciḥ | tasya tuṣyanti vai devās tuṣṭāḥ puṣṭiṃ dadaty api ||
جو پاکیزہ انسان دیوتاؤں کو پھول چڑھاتا ہے، اس سے دیوتا خوش ہوتے ہیں؛ اور خوش ہو کر اسے پُشتی، خوشحالی اور تقویت بھی عطا کرتے ہیں۔
