King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
तथा पुत्रशतं जज्ञे धृतराष्ट्रस्य धीमत: । दुर्योधनप्रभूतयो युयुत्सु: करणस्तथा,परम बुद्धिमान् राजा धृतराष्ट्रके दुर्योधन आदि सौ पुत्र हुए। इनके अतिरिक्त युयुत्सु भी उन्हींका पुत्र था। वह वैश्यजातीय मातासे उत्पन्न होनेके कारण “करण-” कहलाता था
tathā putraśataṃ jajñe dhṛtarāṣṭrasya dhīmataḥ | duryodhana-prabhūtayo yuyutsuḥ karaṇas tathā ||
پھر دانا دھرتراشٹر کے دُریودھن کی سرکردگی میں سو بیٹے پیدا ہوئے؛ اور یُیُتسو نام کا ایک بیٹا بھی تھا، جسے ‘کَرَن’ بھی کہا جاتا تھا۔
