King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
गौतमान्मिथुनं जज्ञे शरस्तम्बाच्छरद्वत: | अश्वत्थाम्नश्न॒ जननी कृपश्चैव महाबल:
Gautamān mithunaṃ jajñe śarastambāc charadvataḥ | aśvatthāmnaś ca jananī kṛpī caiva mahābalāḥ kṛpaś caiva ||
گوتَم وَنْش کے شَرَدْوَت کا نطفہ سرکنڈوں کے جھاڑ پر گرا اور دو حصّوں میں بٹ گیا؛ اسی سے ایک لڑکی اور ایک لڑکا پیدا ہوئے۔ لڑکی کا نام کِرپی تھا—جو آگے چل کر اشوتھاما کی ماں بنی—اور لڑکا مہابلی کِرپ کے نام سے مشہور ہوا۔
