Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta (गरुड–शक्र संवादः अमृत-अपहरण-प्रसङ्गः)
रजांसि मुकुटान्येषामुत्थितानि व्यधर्षयन् । ततस्त्राससमुद्धिग्न: सह देवै: शतक्रतुः । उत्पातान् दारुणान् पश्यन्नित्युवाच बृहस्पतिम्
rajāṁsi mukuṭāny eṣām utthitāni vyadharṣayan | tatas trāsasamuddhignaḥ saha devaiḥ śatakratuḥ | utpātān dāruṇān paśyann ity uvāca bṛhaspatim ||
گرد کے گھنے بادل اٹھے اور دیوتاؤں کے تاجوں پر پڑ کر انہیں ماند کر گئے۔ تب شتکرتو (اندر)، دوسرے دیوتاؤں کے ساتھ، خوف سے مضطرب ہو کر، ان ہولناک شگونوں کو دیکھتے ہوئے، برہسپتی سے یوں گویا ہوا۔
कश्यप उवाच
When ominous signs arise and fear spreads, the proper response is to seek guidance from wisdom and dharmic counsel (here, Bṛhaspati) rather than act impulsively; even powerful leaders must steady themselves and consult the learned.
A violent disturbance raises dust that soils the gods’ crowns; seeing dreadful portents, Indra (with the other gods) becomes alarmed and turns to Bṛhaspati to ask what these signs mean and what should be done.
