देवा ऊचु: ऋणिनो मानवा ब्रह्मन् जायन्ते येन तच्छूणु । क्रियाभिन्रह्मचर्येण प्रजया च न संशय:
devā ūcuḥ—ṛṇino mānavā brahman jāyante yena tac chṛṇu | kriyābhir brahmacaryeṇa prajayā ca na saṃśayaḥ |
دیوتاؤں نے کہا—اے برہمن! سنو، انسان کس قرض کے سبب قرض دار ہو کر جنم لیتے ہیں۔ یَجْن (قربانی کے فرائض)، برہماچریہ کی پابندی، اور اولاد کی پیدائش—ان تینوں کے باب میں سب انسانوں پر قرض ہوتا ہے؛ اس میں کوئی شک نہیں۔
