Draupadī Episode
पितर ऊचु. य एष मन्युजस्तेडग्निलोंकानादातुमिच्छति । अप्सु तं मुज्च भद्रं ते लोका हाप्सु प्रतिष्ठिता:
pitaras ūcuḥ | ya eṣa manyujas te ’gnilokān ādātum icchati | apsu taṃ muñca bhadraṃ te lokā hy apsu pratiṣṭhitāḥ | nimittabhūtas tatrāsīd viśvāmitraḥ parāśaraḥ | rājā kalmāṣapādaś ca divam āruhyamodate |
پِتروں نے کہا: “اے اَورْوَ! تمہارے غضب سے پیدا ہونے والی یہ آگ جو تمام جہانوں کو نگل جانا چاہتی ہے، اسے پانیوں میں چھوڑ دو۔ تمہارا بھلا ہو؛ کیونکہ جہان پانیوں ہی پر قائم ہیں۔ اس معاملے میں پراشر، وشوامتر اور راجا کلمाषپاد محض سببِ ظاہری تھے؛ تمہارے آباؤ اجداد کی موت میں تقدیر ہی اصل عامل تھی۔ اور اب بھی تمہارے والد شکتی سوَرگ کو پہنچ کر وہاں مسرور ہیں۔”
