ततस्त्वर्जुनपाञ्चालौ युद्धाय समुपागतौ । व्यक्षोभयेतां तौ सैन्यमिन्द्रवैरोचनाविव
tatas tv arjunapāñcālau yuddhāya samupāgatau | vyakṣobhayetāṃ tau sainyam indra-vairocanāv iva ||
پھر ارجن اور پانچال کا راجہ جنگ کے لیے ایک دوسرے کی طرف بڑھے۔ اندَر اور ویرَوچن کی مانند اُن دونوں نے تمام لشکر کو اضطراب میں ڈال دیا۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ethic of meeting conflict directly and the social duty of protecting one’s side; when great warriors confront each other, their personal valor affects the morale and stability of entire armies.
Arjuna and the Pāñcāla king come face-to-face, ready to fight. Their approach and readiness for combat causes commotion throughout the gathered forces, compared to the tumult created by the clash of Indra and Virocana.
