ततो युधिष्ठिर: पूर्व धनुर्ग.ह्य परंतप: । तस्थौ भासं समुद्दिश्य गुरुवाक्यप्रचोदित:
tato yudhiṣṭhiraḥ pūrvaṃ dhanur gṛhya parantapaḥ | tasthau bhāsaṃ samuddiśya guruvākyapracoditaḥ ||
تب دشمنوں کو تپانے والا یُدھِشٹھِر استاد کے حکم سے اُبھارا گیا، سب سے پہلے کمان اٹھا کر گِدھ کو نشانہ بنا کر ثابت قدم کھڑا ہو گیا۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined action under rightful guidance: a warrior should act with focus and restraint, following the teacher’s instruction rather than acting from haste or ego.
Yudhiṣṭhira steps forward first, takes up the bow, and stands ready to shoot, fixing his attention on the vulture as the target, prompted by his teacher’s directive.
