प्रतिगृहा तु तत्सवव कृतास्त्रो द्विजसत्तम: | प्रियं सखायं सुप्रीतो जगाम द्रुपदं प्रति
pratigṛhya tu tat sarvaṁ kṛtāstro dvijasattamaḥ | priyaṁ sakhāyaṁ suprīto jagāma drupadaṁ prati ||
وہ سب کچھ حاصل کر کے برہمنوں میں افضل درون اسلحہ و اَستر کے علم میں کامل ہو گیا؛ اور نہایت شاداں ہو کر اپنے عزیز دوست دروپد سے ملنے کے لیے روانہ ہوا۔
राम उवाच
The verse highlights the completion of disciplined learning (mastery of astravidyā) and the ethical weight of relationships: friendship and gratitude can shape later choices, and unmet expectations in such bonds can become sources of conflict affecting dharma.
Droṇa, having fully mastered weapon-science after receiving instruction, feels delighted and goes to his dear friend Drupada, setting up the later tension between their earlier friendship and Drupada’s royal status and pride.
