sarvayajñaphalaistulyam iṣṭaiḥ śatasahasraśaḥ sadya eva samāpnoti kiṃ tataḥ paramādbhutam
Suta Goswami (narrating the phala-śruti to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
It declares Liṅga-pūjā as a direct, swift means to the same merit as countless Vedic yajñas, emphasizing Śiva’s immediate bestowal of grace (anugraha) to the devotee.
Śiva is implied as Pati—the supreme Lord who can grant the highest results without delay, transcending laborious ritual accumulation and responding instantly to sincere devotion.
The verse highlights Śiva-liṅga worship (pūjā/arcana) as the key practice; in Shaiva terms it functions as a grace-centered upāya that loosens pāśa (bondage) for the paśu (soul) through devotion to Pati.
