Suta Goswami (narrating the dharma teaching within the Linga Purana discourse)
It frames Linga-worship as supported by inner discipline: the bhikshu’s vigilance and dharma-aligned conduct protect the sanctity of worship and the devotee’s progress from pasha (bondage) toward Pati (Shiva).
Indirectly, it aligns Shiva-tattva with dharma as a liberating order: what serves dharma supports the soul’s release from pasha, culminating in orientation to Pati, the Lord who is the ground of right order.
Pashupata-oriented restraint and wakefulness (atandrita) in daily conduct—an ethical-yogic discipline that stabilizes puja and japa by minimizing negligence and preserving dharma.
