Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय

स्नानमात्रेण वै शुद्धिर् मरणे समुपस्थिते तत ऋतुत्रयादर्वाग् एकाहः परिगीयते

snānamātreṇa vai śuddhir maraṇe samupasthite tata ṛtutrayādarvāg ekāhaḥ parigīyate

جب موت واقع ہو تو پاکیزگی حقیقتاً صرف غسل سے حاصل ہوتی ہے۔ اور جو عمر کے پہلے تین موسموں (کم سنی) کے اندر ہوں، ان کے لیے اشوچ کی مدت ایک دن کہی گئی ہے۔
