Shivamurti–Pratishtha Phala: Shivalaya-Nirmana, Kshetra-Mahatmya, Tirtha-Snana, and Mandala-Vidhi

مَنتْر جاننے والا گائے کی کھال کے برابر منڈل بنائے، گوبر سے مقررہ طریقے کے مطابق اسے چوکور کرے، اور پھر پانی چھڑک کر اسے مقدس کرے۔
Suta Goswami (narrating prescribed Shiva-puja procedure to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It establishes the consecrated ritual-space (maṇḍala) for Linga-puja—purified with gomaya and sanctified by water—so the worship is performed in a ritually fit field aligned with śāstric injunctions.
By insisting on a purified, rule-governed maṇḍala, the verse implies Shiva as Pati—approached through dharma and mantra—where the bound soul (paśu) prepares a pure locus to loosen pāśa (impurity/bondage) and become fit for grace.
Ritual purification and consecration: drawing a square maṇḍala, using cow-dung for śauca (purity), and sprinkling water (abhyukṣaṇa) before mantra-based worship—supportive disciplines for Pāśupata-oriented Shiva sādhanā.
