Adhyaya 72 — Puradāha: Rudra’s Cosmic Chariot, Pāśupata-Vrata, and Brahmā’s Shiva-Stuti

Suta Goswami (narrating the Tripura episode to the sages, with implied narrative focus on Shiva’s leadership)
It emphasizes īśvara-prādhānya—Shiva as Pati whom even the devas follow—supporting the Linga’s role as the supreme focus of refuge and worship beyond all secondary powers.
Shiva is shown as Īśvara, the sovereign Pati, accompanied by Śakti and the gaṇas—indicating lordship that integrates power (Śakti) and divine order, drawing all beings to follow His will.
The key practice implied is śaraṇāgati (surrender) and īśvara-anugamana (following the Lord’s command), a core Pāśupata orientation where the paśu aligns with Pati to loosen pāśa (bondage).
