bhagavānapi taṃ dṛṣṭvā yajñaṃ prāha sanātanam sanātanastadā sendrān devān ālokya cācyutaḥ
Suta Goswami (narrating; internal scene centers on Bhagavan/Acyuta addressing or acknowledging the devas)
It frames worship as “sanātana”—a timeless, divinely affirmed yajña—supporting the Linga Purana’s view that Shiva-oriented devotion and consecrated rites are not merely historical acts but an eternal dharmic pattern.
By emphasizing the “Eternal” (sanātana) principle behind yajña, the verse points to Shiva-tattva as the timeless ground that validates sacred action—Pati who oversees and perfects the means by which the paśu is freed from pāśa.
The highlighted practice is yajña as a sanctifying discipline—aligned with Shaiva understanding as an outer rite that can support inner purification, preparing the practitioner for Pashupata-style detachment and devotion.
