वासिष्ठकथनम् (आदित्य–सोमवंशवर्णनम् तथा रुद्रसहस्रनाम-प्रशंसा)

शाबस्तिश् च महातेजा वंशकस्तु ततो ऽभवत् निर्मिता येन शाबस्ती गौडदेशे द्विजोत्तमाः

śābastiś ca mahātejā vaṃśakastu tato 'bhavat nirmitā yena śābastī gauḍadeśe dvijottamāḥ

اور مہاتيجس شابستی کے بعد وَنشک ہوا۔ اے برہمنوں میں افضل! اسی نے گاؤڑ دیش میں ‘شابستی’ نامی نگری بسائی۔
