साम्नायो ऽथ महाम्नायस् तीर्थदेवो महायशाः निर्जीवो जीवनो मन्त्रः सुभगो बहुकर्कशः
sāmnāyo 'tha mahāmnāyas tīrthadevo mahāyaśāḥ nirjīvo jīvano mantraḥ subhago bahukarkaśaḥ
وہ سامنای اور مہاسامنای ہے—روایت خود اور عظیم روایت۔ وہ تیرتھوں کا دیوتا، عظیم شہرت والا ہے۔ جمود سے ماورا ہو کر بھی وہی زندگی بخشنے والا؛ وہی منتر؛ مبارک اور سعادت دینے والا، مگر نہایت سخت—نافرمانی ناقابلِ برداشت۔
