matprasādādasaṃdigdhā tava vatsa bhaviṣyati tataś ca prāha bhagavān vasiṣṭho vadatāṃ varaḥ
Vasiṣṭha (within Sūta’s narration)
It emphasizes anugraha (grace) as the decisive force behind spiritual fruition—mirroring how Linga-pūjā is said to bear fruit fully when sanctified by the Lord’s and guru’s blessing.
Though Shiva is not named, the verse reflects Shaiva Siddhanta’s core principle: the Pati bestows certainty through grace, turning the pashu’s aspiration into assured attainment beyond doubt.
The key practice implied is guru-sevā and grace-oriented sādhana: disciplined pūjā/japa/yoga becomes effective when aligned with the guru’s anugraha—central to Pāśupata-oriented spiritual progress.
