ऋषय ऊचुः यदेतदुक्तं भवता सूतेह वदतां वर एतद्विस्तरतो ब्रूहि ज्योतिषां च विनिर्णयम्

ṛṣaya ūcuḥ yadetaduktaṃ bhavatā sūteha vadatāṃ vara etadvistarato brūhi jyotiṣāṃ ca vinirṇayam

رِشیوں نے کہا—اے سوت، گفتار کرنے والوں میں برتر! آپ نے جو فرمایا ہے اسے تفصیل سے بیان کیجیے، اور جَیوتِشکوں (سورج، چاند اور دیگر اجرامِ فلکی) کے بارے میں قطعی فیصلہ بھی واضح فرمائیے۔
