FAQs

It frames the universe as moving by fixed divine ordinance (niyati). In Linga worship, the devotee contemplates the Linga as the axis of order—Pati (Shiva) sustaining rhythmic cosmic motion—so the mind becomes steady and aligned with dharma.

Though Shiva is not named, the verse implies an intelligent governance behind cosmic mechanics. In Shaiva Siddhanta terms, such ordered motion reflects Pati’s sovereignty: the Lord remains unmoving in essence while regulating movement through His śakti and law.

A dhyāna (contemplation) practice: meditating on the cosmic axis (Dhruva) and the regulated course of the Sun to cultivate ekāgratā (one-pointedness), supporting Pashupata-oriented discipline where the pashu loosens pasha through steadiness and right alignment.
