Adhyaya 35 — दधीचि-क्षुप-युद्धम्, भार्गवोपदेशः, मृतसंजीवनी (त्र्यम्बक) मन्त्रः
नावमन्तव्य एवेह पूजनीयश् च सर्वथा श्रुत्वा तथा मतं तस्य क्षुपस्य मुनिसत्तमः
nāvamantavya eveha pūjanīyaś ca sarvathā śrutvā tathā mataṃ tasya kṣupasya munisattamaḥ
یہاں اسے ہرگز حقیر نہ سمجھا جائے؛ وہ ہر حال میں قابلِ تعظیم و پوجا ہے۔ تپسوی کْشُپ کا یہ عزم سن کر مُنیوں کے سردار نے اسے درست و مناسب مانا۔

It frames Linga-puja as inseparable from sadachara: the worshipper must avoid avamāna (disrespect) and cultivate constant pūjā-bhāva (honoring attitude) toward the worthy, which purifies the pashu (soul) for Shiva’s grace.
Indirectly, it points to Shiva-tattva as approached through humility and reverence: when the pashu abandons contempt and honors dharmic excellence, the pasha (bondage of ego and malice) loosens, making the soul fit for Pati’s (Shiva’s) anugraha (grace).
A foundational Pashupata discipline is emphasized: non-disrespect (ahiṃsā of speech and attitude) and continual honoring of the spiritually worthy—an inner vrata that supports effective mantra, puja, and yogic steadiness.
