kṣayaṃ jaghāna pādena vajrāsthitvaṃ ca labdhavān mayāpi nirjito mṛtyur mahādevasya kīrtanāt
Suta Goswami (narrating an internal testimony of a devotee/participant in the narrative)
It asserts that Mahādeva’s kīrtana (name-glorification), central to Linga-bhakti, grants victory over the forces of decay and death—showing the Linga as the refuge of Pati who protects and liberates the paśu.
Śiva is implied as Pati—supreme over mṛtyu (death) and kṣaya (dissolution). By remembrance and praise of him, the bound soul transcends pāśa (bondage) and attains steadfastness (vajra-like stability) oriented toward mokṣa.
Nāma-japa/kīrtana of Mahādeva—used as a Pāśupata-aligned sādhanā to weaken pāśa (bondage) and cultivate unwavering stability of body-mind toward liberation.
