मार्कण्डेय उवाच कथयिष्यामि ते वत्स या चेष्टा यच्च तत्फलम् / पुरा महर्षिभिः सम्यक् कथ्यमानं मया श्रुतम्

مارکنڈیہ نے کہا—اے فرزند، میں تمہیں بتاؤں گا کہ کیسا آچرن اختیار کرنا چاہیے اور اس کا پھل کیا ہوتا ہے؛ جیسا کہ میں نے قدیم زمانے میں مہارشیوں سے درست طور پر بیان کیا ہوا سنا تھا۔
