FAQs

This verse is primarily narrative, presenting purposeful movement and seeking; it supports the Purāṇic theme that the Divine (here Kṛṣṇa) is the ultimate guide in a seeker’s pursuit, though it does not directly define Ātman.

No explicit yogic technique is taught in this line; the motif of “seeking” (mārgamāṇa) aligns with the broader Kurma Purana emphasis on disciplined pursuit—later systematized as Pāśupata-oriented devotion, restraint, and focused intention.

The verse does not explicitly mention Śiva; however, within the Kurma Purana’s Shaiva-Vaishnava synthesis, such Vishnu/Kṛṣṇa-led narratives coexist with and support later teachings that affirm harmony between the two traditions.
