FAQs

This verse uses the image of a bull with five auspicious signs to indicate an omen-like, dharma-coded vision on the post-death path, emphasizing that what is encountered is governed by prescribed cosmic order (vidhi).

It depicts the soul’s journey as involving vivid, symbolic encounters—here, a ritually significant bull among cows—suggesting that the preta’s experiences unfold according to dharmic ordinance rather than randomness.

Live and act in alignment with dharma and perform prescribed rites responsibly, recognizing that the tradition frames post-death outcomes as connected to orderly conduct and observance of proper vidhis.
