Dakṣa’s Daughters, Cosmic Lineages, and the Population of the Three Worlds
bhānos tu deva-ṛṣabha indrasenas tato nṛpa vidyota āsīl lambāyās tataś ca stanayitnavaḥ
In this verse, Stanayitnavaḥ are described as descendants born from Vidyota—celestial beings associated with thunder (stanayitnu), indicating a class of beings within cosmic administration.
These genealogies show how the Lord’s universal order unfolds through divinely arranged lineages, connecting various beings and functions (like thunder) to specific progenitors.
They cultivate a sense of sacred order and interconnectedness—encouraging humility and devotion by seeing nature and its powers as part of a purposeful, divinely governed cosmos.
