Vṛtrāsura Rebukes Indra; Heroic Combat and the Asura’s Pure Devotional Prayers
evaṁ sura-gaṇān kruddho bhīṣayan vapuṣā ripūn vyanadat sumahā-prāṇo yena lokā vicetasaḥ
This verse describes Vṛtrāsura as so formidable that his very form and thunderous roar terrified the demigods and stunned the worlds.
In the narrative of the Indra–Vṛtrāsura battle, he confronts the sura-army with immense strength, shaking their confidence as the war intensifies.
It highlights how overwhelming force (or presence) can unsettle others—encouraging a devotee to cultivate inner steadiness and not be easily shaken by external intimidation.
