Nārada’s Instructions: Śrāddha, True Dharma, Contentment, Yoga, and Devotion-Centered Renunciation
tāvad dāsyām ahaṁ jajñe tatrāpi brahma-vādinām śuśrūṣayānuṣaṅgeṇa prāpto ’haṁ brahma-putratām
The Supreme Personality of Godhead says in Bhagavad-gītā (9.32) :
This verse teaches that sincere service and attentive association with spiritually learned devotees (brahma-vādins) can elevate one’s destiny dramatically—Nārada says such service led him to attain the position of Brahmā’s son.
He highlights the transformative effect of sadhu-saṅga: even from a low social position, by serving and staying connected with realized sages, he progressed to an exalted spiritual status.
Seek genuine saintly association, regularly hear from authentic teachers, and serve in practical ways (time, skills, humility). Consistent service strengthens devotion and reshapes one’s character and life direction.
