Inauspicious Omens and Arjuna’s Return from Dvārakā
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca sampreṣito dvārakāyāṁ jiṣṇur bandhu-didṛkṣayā jñātuṁ ca puṇya-ślokasya kṛṣṇasya ca viceṣṭitam
Yudhiṣṭhira sent Arjuna to Dvārakā both to meet their relatives there and to learn the latest about Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s activities and well-being.
“Puṇya-śloka” indicates that Kṛṣṇa’s fame and the verses sung about Him are spiritually purifying and auspicious, bringing merit and devotion to those who hear and recite them.
It encourages a devotee to seek saintly association and actively inquire about the Lord’s līlā and teachings—keeping one’s mind connected to Kṛṣṇa through hearing, conversation, and remembrance.
