भ्रातरोऽभाङ्क्त किं मह्यं भजाम पितरं तव । त्वां ममार्यास्तताभाङ्क्षुर्मा पुत्रक तदादृथा: ॥ २ ॥
bhrātaro ’bhāṅkta kiṁ mahyaṁ bhajāma pitaraṁ tava tvāṁ mamāryās tatābhāṅkṣur mā putraka tad ādṛthāḥ
نाभाग نے پوچھا: “بھائیو! باپ کی جائیداد میں میرا کیا حصہ دیا ہے؟” بڑے بھائیوں نے کہا: “تمہارا حصہ تو باپ ہی ہے۔” پھر نाभाग باپ کے پاس گیا اور بولا: “ابّا جان، بڑے بھائیوں نے آپ کو میرا حصہ بتایا ہے۔” باپ نے کہا: “بیٹے، اُن کے فریب بھرے کلام پر بھروسا نہ کرنا؛ میں تمہاری ملکیت نہیں ہوں۔”
