Pūru-vaṁśa, Duṣmanta–Śakuntalā, and the Rise of Mahārāja Bharata
tasyaivaṁ vitathe vaṁśe tad-arthaṁ yajataḥ sutam marut-stomena maruto bharadvājam upādaduḥ
In this verse, Bharadvāja is described as the son granted by the Maruts to King Vitatha as a result of the Marut-stoma sacrifice.
Marut-stoma is a Vedic sacrificial rite associated with pleasing the Maruts; here it is said to bring the blessing of a son, Bharadvāja.
It highlights purposeful, dharmic effort (sincere worship and duty) and trusting that higher powers can support righteous aims when pursued properly.
