Kurukṣetra Pilgrimage: Sages Praise Kṛṣṇa; Vasudeva Inquires on Karma; Viṣṇu-yajña Performed
tad vīkṣya tān upavrajya vasudevo mahā-yaśāḥ praṇamya copasaṅgṛhya babhāṣedaṁ su-yantritaḥ
This verse shows Vasudeva approaching, offering obeisances, and embracing—modeling humility, affection, and proper etiquette even amid intense emotions.
Because he recognized them with reverence and affection; he first honored them formally with pranāma and then expressed familial love through embrace.
Even in emotionally charged reunions or conflicts, one can act with dignity—pause, offer respect, and speak thoughtfully rather than impulsively.
