te śārṅga-cyuta-bāṇaughaiḥ kṛtta-bāhv-aṅghri-kandharāḥ nipetuḥ pradhane kecid eke santyajya dudruvuḥ

Translation

شَارْنگ کمان سے چھوٹے تیروں کی بارش نے انہیں ڈھانپ لیا۔ کچھ کے بازو، ٹانگیں اور گردنیں کٹ گئیں اور وہ میدانِ جنگ میں گر پڑے؛ باقی لڑائی چھوڑ کر بھاگ گئے۔
