The Syamantaka Jewel: Accusation, Recovery, and Kṛṣṇa’s Marriage to Satyabhāmā
jāne tvāṁ saṛva-bhūtānāṁ prāṇa ojaḥ saho balam viṣṇuṁ purāṇa-puruṣaṁ prabhaviṣṇum adhīśvaram
In this verse, Jāmbavān directly identifies Krishna as Viṣṇu—the primeval Supreme Person and the source and controller of all—showing that Krishna’s humanlike pastimes conceal His divine supremacy.
After encountering Krishna’s extraordinary power and divinity during their conflict over the Syamantaka jewel, Jāmbavān recognizes Him as the Supreme Lord and offers heartfelt praise, acknowledging Krishna as the life-force of all beings.
It fosters reverence for life, humility, and steady devotion—training one to see the Lord’s sustaining presence behind one’s strength, energy, and ability to endure.
