Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma’s Forest Games and the Slaying of Pralamba
vanaṁ kusumitaṁ śrīman nadac-citra-mṛga-dvijam gāyan mayūra-bhramaraṁ kūjat-kokila-sārasam
This verse portrays Vṛndāvana as a divinely opulent, flower-filled forest where animals and birds appear wonderfully varied and melodious—its natural sounds become like devotional music in Kṛṣṇa’s presence.
Śukadeva highlights how all of Vraja’s nature participates in Kṛṣṇa-līlā—its sights and sounds intensify the rasa of the pastime and inspire devotees to remember Kṛṣṇa through sacred landscape.
Cultivate bhakti by mindful remembrance: spend time in nature, reduce distraction, and consciously connect beauty and sound to gratitude and devotion—using creation as a prompt for Kṛṣṇa-smaraṇa.
