Pṛthu Mahārāja Milks the Earth (Bhūmi-dugdha) and Organizes Human Settlement
sanniyacchābhibho manyuṁ nibodha śrāvitaṁ ca me sarvataḥ sāram ādatte yathā madhu-karo budhaḥ
In this verse, Bhū-devī urges the powerful king to curb anger and listen with discernment, teaching that self-control and calm inquiry are essential for righteous action.
Pṛthu was ready to punish the Earth for withholding resources; Bhū-devī pacifies him, asking him to restrain wrath and understand the deeper principle—resources can be drawn properly when approached with wisdom.
