Aditi’s Payo-vrata and Viṣṇu’s Promise to Appear as Her Son
Prelude to Vāmana
श्रीशुक उवाच एतावदुक्त्वा भगवांस्तत्रैवान्तरधीयत । अदितिर्दुर्लभं लब्ध्वा हरेर्जन्मात्मनि प्रभो: । उपाधावत् पतिं भक्त्या परया कृतकृत्यवत् ॥ २१ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca etāvad uktvā bhagavāṁs tatraivāntaradhīyata aditir durlabhaṁ labdhvā harer janmātmani prabhoḥ upādhāvat patiṁ bhaktyā parayā kṛta-kṛtyavat
شری شُکدیَو گوسوامی نے کہا—یہ کہہ کر بھگوان اسی جگہ سے غائب ہو گئے۔ ادیتی نے یہ نہایت نایاب वर پا کر کہ ہری خود اس کے بیٹے کے روپ میں ظاہر ہوں گے، اپنے آپ کو کامیاب و کृतکرت्य سمجھا اور پرم بھکتی سے اپنے پتی کے پاس گئی۔
