Aditi’s Lament and Kaśyapa’s Instruction of the Payo-vrata (Milk Vow) to Please Keśava
bhojayet tān guṇavatā sad-annena śuci-smite anyāṁś ca brāhmaṇāñ chaktyā ye ca tatra samāgatāḥ
This verse instructs that brāhmaṇas should be respectfully fed with pure, excellent food, and that one should also feed any other brāhmaṇas present according to one’s capacity.
Kashyapa is guiding Aditi’s sacred observance so it becomes spiritually complete—hospitality and honoring brāhmaṇas are essential limbs of dharma that support successful worship and divine grace.
Practice respectful hospitality and charity within your means—offer clean, wholesome food and honor saintly, learned, or spiritually dedicated people, without pride and without overextending beyond your capacity.
