FAQs

Ayurvedic-technical knowledge: it identifies bodily functions and qualities—vision, heat, pitta, intellect, complexion, strength, lustre, radiance, and courage—as manifestations of Agni/Tejas within the human system.

It demonstrates the text’s cross-disciplinary method: a deity-principle (Agni) is mapped onto human physiology and doṣa theory (pitta/tejas), blending theology with medical anthropology in the Purana’s encyclopedic survey.

By recognizing Agni as the inner power behind perception, vitality, and courage, the verse encourages reverence for the inner tejas; such right understanding supports disciplined living and purificatory conduct aligned with dharma.
