Chapter 185 — नवमीव्रतानि (The Observances for Navamī)
بھگوان اگنی وشیِشٹھ کو گوری/درگا سے متعلق نوَمی ورت سکھاتے ہیں اور بھُکتی اور مُکتی—دونوں طرح کی سِدھی کا صریح وعدہ کرتے ہیں۔ نوَمی کو ‘پِشٹکا’ کہا گیا ہے؛ آشوِن شُکل نوَمی کے دقیق وقت، نکشتر کی شرطوں اور دیوی پوجا کے بعد آٹے/پِشٹ سے بنی غذا کے تناول کا وِدھان بیان ہوتا ہے۔ پھر مہیش مردِنی درگا کو مرکز بنا کر ریاستی/شاہی حفاظت کی عبادت—دیوی کو نو مقامات میں یا ایک ہی مندر میں مقیم مان کر، کثیر بازو شبیہ کا مخصوص ہتھیاروں و آلات کے ساتھ دھیان۔ دشاکشری درگا-رکشا منتر، دیگر منتر، انگوٹھے سے چھوٹی انگلی تک نیاس، راز داری اور بے رکاوٹ سادھنا پر زور ہے۔ ہتھیار پوجا، اُگرا دیوی نام، سمتوں میں بَلی (بعض قراءتوں میں خون/گوشت)، آٹے کی دشمن-پتلی کو بے اثر کرنا، رات میں ماترکا اور اُگرا روپوں کی پوجا، پنچامرت اسنان، بَلی اور دھوجا نصب/رتھ یاترا جیسے تہواری نشان—بھکتی، شبیہ-دھیان اور راج دھرم کی حفاظت کو یکجا کرتے ہیں۔
