FAQs

It enumerates approved categories of dāna—food, fragrant drinks, and practical comfort-items (fan/whisk, footwear, umbrella, vehicles, seats)—as part of dāna-vidhi.

By cataloging concrete, everyday gift-items alongside ritual principles, it shows the Agni Purana’s systematic coverage of dharma in practical, actionable lists.

Donating sustenance and protective amenities is treated as dharmic merit (puṇya), supporting others’ well-being and thereby purifying the donor’s karma through compassionate giving.
