Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Dharmashastra","secondary_vidya":"Mantra","practical_application":"Assign correct mantras to specific ancillary sacrifices: gṛhya-yajña (domestic rite) and druma-yajña (tree-offering), ensuring rite-specific mantra-appropriateness.","sutra_style":true}
Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"List","entry_title":"Mantra-Assignment for Gṛhya-yajña and Druma-yajña","lookup_keywords":["gṛhya-yajña","druma-yajña","pravādāṃśaḥ sopad","devebhyo vanaspate","ancillary sacrifice"],"quick_summary":"Use the formula ‘pravādāṃśaḥ sopad’ in domestic sacrifice contexts, and ‘devebhyo vanaspate’ when performing offerings connected to trees/vegetation; mantra selection follows the rite’s domain."}
Concept: Ritual dharma is context-sensitive: each yajña-type has its own sanctioned mantra; correctness (yathāvidhi) is itself a means to auspiciousness.
Application: In household rites and nature-linked offerings, avoid mantra-mixing; match mantra to rite-category (gṛhya vs. druma) to maintain procedural validity.
Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi / Yajna-vidhi (Domestic and ancillary sacrificial procedures)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Two parallel ritual scenes: (1) a household gṛhya-yajña near the domestic hearth; (2) a druma-yajña at the base of a sacred tree with offerings and mantra-recitation.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural split-panel composition: left shows home altar and fire with family, right shows sacred tree with offering platform; bold outlines, earthy palette, ritual implements stylized.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting diptych: domestic altar with gold-embossed vessels; sacred tree scene with gold-highlighted leaves and offering tray; ornate borders and auspicious motifs.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore painting, instructional layout labeling gṛhya-yajña implements and druma-yajña tree-offering steps; delicate lines, soft colors, clarity of two contexts.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, detailed household courtyard yajña and garden tree-offering scene, fine textiles and foliage, attendants holding offerings, naturalistic tree rendering."}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: pravādāṃśaḥ → pravāda-aṃśaḥ; sopaditi → sopadi iti; vanaspata iti → vanaspate iti (vocative sandhi); compounds gṛha-yajña, druma-yajña treated as tatpuruṣa.

It specifies the exact mantra-phrases to be recited for two distinct rites: the domestic (gṛhya) sacrifice and the tree-related offering (druma-yajña), indicating correct mantra assignment (mantra-viniyoga).
It functions like a ritual manual, cataloging precise recitations for specialized rites (household yajña and tree-offerings), showing the text’s coverage beyond mythology into applied liturgy and procedural religion.
Correct mantra-recitation in the proper rite is held to ensure the offering reaches its intended divine recipient, supporting purification (śuddhi) and merit (puṇya) through disciplined, rule-based worship.
