Ayurvedic kalpa-vidyā: Dhanvantari introduces longevity-promoting, disease-destroying formulations (Mṛtyuñjaya-kalpas) and points to a specific remedy (‘Triśatī’) administered with honey, ghee, and Triphalā.
It shifts from narrative framing into a technical medical compendium (Kalpasāgara), showing the Agni Purana’s breadth by preserving practical Ayurveda—named formulations, vehicles (anupāna) like honey/ghee, and rasāyana-style rejuvenatives.
By presenting ‘Mṛtyuñjaya’ (death-conquering) remedies through Dhanvantari, the text frames healthcare as dharmic preservation of life—supporting one’s capacity to perform duties, worship, and meritorious acts through sustained health and longevity.
